What do I do if I get a Virus?
If you think you have a virus there are certain steps you must take, below are some suggestions as to what initial action to take:
1. Stop sending messages as you will be assisting in the spread of the virus.
2. The virus will have to be removed, by a computer specialist.
3. Once clean, you will need to install an anti virus program onto your machine.
Anti virus programs can be purchased for as little as £35 - £40, the better programs offer free updates for 12 months with the option to purchase future updates at about £6 per year. This is a very small price to pay in comparison to a new computer.
Two anti virus programs recommended are Norton (Symantec) and PC-cillin (Trend) to view their sites click on the icons below.

Domain Names
Having your own Domain Name is becoming increasingly popular, initially it eliminates the need for any complicated site addresses but there are other advantages.
A domain site usually offers the facility to host a number of email redirects, the domain for our club offers up to 10 redirects. For instance, our Domain is www.salfordrotary.co.uk this offers email redirects such as secretary@salfordrotary.co.uk, these redirects do not affect the recipients settings in any way it simply offers them a simpler email address for all matters to do with Rotary. If you wish to have your own domain name try the site below or if you require further information email me on webmaster@salfordrotary.co.uk
