About Our Club & Club Diary
Salford Rotary Club is one of over
24,500 clubs in 172 countries whose 1,000,000 plus members share common objectives in
fostering high ethical standards in business and the professions, while at the same time
initiating and supporting community service projects locally and internationally.
Throughout the world Rotary is divided into more manageble areas called Districts, our
District (1280) covers the North West of England including the Isle of Man.
Formed in 1926, the club has a long and distinguished past and plans are in hand to
celebrate the 75th Anniversary during the next Rotary Year. Despite the Clubs' traditional
background it remains at the forefront of new ideas within the Rotary organisation, one
typical example is the fact that the Club was the very first in the District to have a
dedicated website.
