"Doing The Right Thing"
Awards 2004
| On Thursday
5th June 2003 President Alan Fawkes and members of the Salford Rotary Club , in the presence of the Mayor
of the City of Salford, hosted a reception in the
City Council Chamber when
certificates were presented to
11 Salford High School pupils who had been nominated by their schools as being
"good citizens of Salford ". This award is designed to look for those young citizens who have shown themselves to be worthy citizens of Salford . It is not an academic award but rather one based on good citizenship.. Each of the Heads of the High Schools had been invited to nominate both a boy and girl from their school who are “Doing the Right Thing” The award winners were accompanied by their parents and families and representatives from the High Schools with over 70 people being in attendance. |
